ARK VALLEY ENTERTAINMENT ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: CHELA LUJAN

Description: Chela Lujan serenades the crowd with her rhythmic voice and melodies.

A devoted disciple of Hank Willams and Patsy Cline, Chela Lujan sings with a classic air. Adam Hook of Soaked in Sound describes her as having “...an oracle-like sound, warning of events that may come to pass. . . Her hypnotic voice has a siren song effect on the listener, luring them closer into the depths of echoed beauty.”

Chela Lujan, 34, was born in New Mexico and grew up on the Navajo Nation in Arizona. Chela then relocated to Pueblo, CO for 20+ years and is currently residing in La Junta, CO.

To her earliest memory, Chela began singing at the age of 3.  She then started playing guitar at the age of 11 and banjo at the age of 19.  Chela has been playing and touring professionally for the last 15 years. Currently

pursuing a solo career, Chela has previously been associated with such acts as "Haunted Windchimes" and "Little Ghost."

Aside from her music career, Chela is currently the Music Program Coordinator at the Woodruff Memorial Library in La Junta, bringing free music concerts and music education to kids 0-12th grade.
