Hello to all.  On Tuesday, 10/27/2020 I apprised you of Crowley and Otero’s move on the Dial to Safer At Home Level 2.  This move will be in effect on Friday, 10/30/2020.  Of course, the day after that is Halloween!  We absolutely need all of our little ghouls and goblins (and their parents, sister/brothers, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc.) to be safe, and to make sure others are as safe as possible.  To this end, please keep in mind the following important points for Halloween participation under Safer At Home Level 2:

1.      Indoor events:  50% room capacity, or 100 person cap, whichever is less.

2.      Outdoor events:  50% venue capacity, or 175 person cap, whichever is less.

3.      Personal, social gatherings:  10 people limit from no more than 2 households.

4.      Minimum social distancing of 6 feet between those that are not immediate household members.

5.      Masks are required (if the person can medically tolerate them).

6.      Please do not participate in any Halloween events if you or your kiddos are feverish and/or are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

Please remember, we call it Safer At Home for a very good reason.  Why not consider having a “spooktacular” family night at home?  Get an age-appropriate spooky movie and/or book, treats, games, costumes, and have fun spending Halloween with the immediate family.  Does anyone remember the early 1970’s made-for-TV movie Gargoyles?  That’s a fun movie to watch (in my opinion anyway).  In fact, I believe Gargoyles was special/makeup effects artist Stan Winston’s first film.  He went on to do the special effects in such movies as Edward Scissorhands, Jurassic Park, Aliens, and etc., etc., etc.  His work led to some Academy Awards too.
