About The Colorado Prairie Quilters

Colorado Prairie Quilters began in January of 2021. We are members of the National Quilt Of Valor Foundation. We meet one Saturday every quarter in Haswell for a day of sewing, pot luck, and fun. There are about 12 – 15 active members. We use donations to purchase the fabrics to make the quilts.

Most quilts are awarded on Veteran’s day with a few awards scattered throughout the year. This past year we awarded 40 quilts between all the members. The six counties represented by members are Otero, Crowley, Bent, Kiowa, Cheyenne, and Prowers.
