Halloween Horseshoe Competition - NOT CANCELLED

Description: Ark Valley Entertainment will be moving forward with the 1st Annual Halloween Horseshoe Competition this Saturday at the La Junta City Park.

First Annual Halloween Horseshoe Competition - Still A Go

Despite the recent up-tick in Covid-19 cases and restrictions this past week, Ark Valley Entertainment plans to move forward with the Halloween Horseshoe Competition. In a statement released today, owner of Ark Valley Entertainment, Trent Ryan addressed the concerns associated with the event.

"We at Ark Valley Entertainment fully understand the gravity of the situation and the necessity of Covid-19 regulations and protocols. With that, Otero County has been placed in Safer Home Level 2 Classification, which means that outdoor events are still permissible, but require more in depth regulation and crowd control.  We will prioritize capacity, registration, social distancing, face mask, and hand sanitization practices, ensuring a safe environment for everyone involved."

The Halloween Horseshoe Competition will take place Saturday October 31st at the La Junta City Park. Registration starts at 7:00 am and competition starts at 9:00 am.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own horseshoes for the competition if they have them.
