Lions Club Awards Chuck Hanagan Diamond Centennial Award

Monday March 8th the Swink Lions Club held its regular meeting. During the meeting they took time to honor one of their own. Longtime active club member, Chuck Hanagan received recognition for his years of service to the community through the Lions Club.

The Diamond Centennial Award is given to members who sponsored a Lion or helped organize a new club that remains active for at least three days a year. The Diamond Centennial Award recipients are held in high regard within the service club.

Hanagan has been involved with Swink Lions Club for 23 years and was previously a member of the Canon City Lions Club. Hanagan has exemplified the ideals of the club through action and demonstrated the importance of maintaining the Lions Club to the community as there are so few service clubs.

The Swink Lions Club is always looking for new members. They meet the 2nd and 4th Monday night of each month. Consider serving your community by joining your local Lions Club today.
