La Junta Fire Department Battles Edison Ave House Fire
At approx 0630 this morning, we were toned out to a structure fire in the 1500 block of Edison.
Heavy fire showing on the Charlie side and a detached garage.
Aggressive defensive attack to slow fire growth and then transitioned with interior crew to conduct search to make sure the house was empty.
The house is not occupied. The fire was also in the attic.
Cheraw Fire was requested for additional man power.
Extensive salvage and overhaul was completed.
Chief Davidson had command with Eng 1, Trk 1, Rescue 1, Med 2 and Med 4. Cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were noted.
