Obituary

Vivian P. Ceniceros, 61, of La Junta, passed away on May 21, 2021at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs. She was born on Feb. 20, 1960 in Rocky Ford to Abran & Maria (Romero) Lucero.

Vivian enjoyed traveling to Roy, New Mexico to visit where her mom grew up in the canyons. She enjoyed collecting pigs, Spanish music, the color purple, and making tortillas. Vivian loved her boys & her grandkids very much and spending time with her family. She was a very caring person and loved to give away jewelry, the Virgin Mary, her movies and reading books.

She is survived by her sons, Antonio (Suzanne) Corona of La Junta, Pedro (Samantha) Corona of La Junta, and Aaron Corona of La Junta; grandchildren, Ezekiel Corona, Julian Tafoya, Tre Gonzales, Lily Tafoya, Jennisa Peteque, Maia Peteque and Mario Peteque; brother, Abran (Shannon) Lucero, Jr; sisters, Mona Lucero and Christina Lucero. Numerous nieces & nephews and aunts & uncles survive. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, son, Augustine Corona, brother, Charles “Charlie” Lucero and her nephew, Christopher Romero.

A memorial service will be Friday, May 28, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
