Obituary

Rubel, at the age of 95, passed away in Pueblo, CO. Rubel was born in Mora, NM to Celestino and Rosaura (Aragon) Garcia. They preceded him in death; also his wife Mary “Dolly” Garcia.

Rubel is survived by his loving wife, Stella; daughters, Rosalita (Alex) Encinias, Gloria (Dave) King, Patricia Ruby Garcia (Rudy Luna), and Teresa (Jerome) Blake; sons, Juan Rubel Garcia, Jr. and Manuel Garcia; step-daughters, Joni (Danny) Guerrero, Carla (Tony) Luna, and Paula (John) Eisenhauer; step-sons, John (Joan) Sedillo, Jr., Paul (Beth) Sedillo, and Mark (Susie) Sedillo; 34 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 5 great, great-grandchildren; one brother, three sisters and other relatives & many friends.

He enjoyed bowling, playing his guitar and spending time with his family, who he loved very much.

In his younger days, Rubel was a farmer, and worked at Cornelius Transfer & Storage. After retiring from the City of La Junta he went on to start Garcia’s Carpentry.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021, Rosary at 9:30, Mass at 10:00 at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St Patrick Catholic Church with Father Victor Raj officiating. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
