DIANNA ROBINSON RECEIVES VFW SALUTE TO SERVICE VOLUNTEER AWARD

June 27, 2021

By Kathleen Tomlin

Dianna Robinson was recognized recently from the VFW Department of Colorado for the Salute to Service Award.  Robert M. Kidd, Sr. State Commander, Dept. of Colorado, VFW, said Dianna is appreciated for her outstanding dedication to the VFW and VFW Auxiliary programs and projects.

Unfortunately, this year there was no banquet dinner, but he asked local President Kathleen Tomlin to present the award.  Commander Kidd extended appreciation to Dianna for her continued support, generosity, dedication, and wishes her the best.

Kathleen nominated Dianna, VFW Auxiliary #2411 Secretary, as a great example of what a volunteer should be.  Dianna has streamlined record keeping so minutes are clear and concise, always in compliance with audits.

She is very active in VFW and the community, keeping the billboard at the post updated; helping with distribution of food and toys for veteran families at Christmas; serving on the Wreath Across America Committee; Family and Veterans Support; Memorial dinners; has a special love for homeless veterans and identifies community needs; organizes clothing drives, and provides encouragement and emotional support.

Dianna has been involved with Helping Hands Commodities Food Distribution for many years; she is a musician for a local church and brings a beautiful level of spiritual support to all who hear her play.  Dianna is an amazing asset to our organization and her service to veterans indeed needs saluted!
