TEA PARTY FOR FLINN EXHIBIT ON JULY 11TH

By Kathleen Tomlin

July 5, 2021

An old-fashioned tea will be held on July 11th from 2pm to 4pm in the Grand Hall at the Museum to celebrate the John Flinn Exhibit.

Come and have some fun with us.  We will have some special guests and a small presentation, drawings, door prizes, and delicious refreshments.  Period costumes welcome, but not required.

The Bent County Art Guild is helping us, and this enthusiastic group always take things to another level!  This exhibit has been a labor of love for the John Flinn family and Heritage Center volunteers, and we are excited to host the Tea Party and celebrate our success.

John Flinn was an influential southwest artist, Bent County native, and a veteran.  Over 25 hand-pulled serigraph and silkscreen prints are being showcased with several other works of art.

If you are traveling through Southern Colorado this summer, we hope you can stop in and see the exhibit and also tour the beautifully curated Heritage Center and Museum.  It really is a treasure to be explored!

We thank John’s daughter Joan, and granddaughters Juli, Merrie and Kristi, for their help with the exhibit.
