Arkansas River La Junta Area Under Flood Watch
Description: Large debris is carried by rushing waters in the Arkansas River by the North La Junta Bridge while children play in the dangerous waters.
Flood Watch
The National Weather Service of Pueblo issued a Flood Watch for the Arkansas River in the La Junta/Otero County area at 1:14 PM Sunday August 1, 2021.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you are in the watch area, remain alert to possible flooding. Residents and those with interests near the river should monitor rising water levels and be prepared for possible flood warnings. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.
The next statement will be issued this evening at 915 PM MDT.
