La Junta Primary School Goes Remote Due to COVID-19

August 24, 2021

Hello Parents:

Unfortunately, due to illnesses including some positive COVID cases within our Primary School, we are going to forego in person learning and implement remote learning until Tuesday, September 7. We feel that to do our best to mitigate the further spread, along with knowing the mass quantity of people who attended the Arkansas Valley Fair last week, it is in the best interests of our students and staff to take this path and be proactive.

Students will be given their tablets this afternoon upon leaving school but will not begin classroom activity until Monday, August 30. The remainder of this week, teachers will be getting their google classrooms ready and preparing for next week's lessons. The building will be closed for the remainder of this week to deep clean and disinfect.

This time of year is always hectic and we apologize for the inconvenience. Feel free to call me at Central Office if you have any questions or concerns. (719)384-6900.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Superintendent Rick Lovato
