Surrounded by his wife and daughters, Ray Martinez succumbed to his brave battle on September 15, 2021. He was born on December 17, 1958. He is survived by the love of his life, of 38 years (3-19-83), Rita Martinez of La Junta. He lived every day just to make her smile. His four daughters; Melissa (Seth) Oquist of Canon City, Carissa (Sam) Bickel of La Junta, Serina (Garrett Palmer) Martinez of La Junta and Katrina Martinez of La Junta. Grandchildren; Zeyairah Bickel, Jonah Palmer, Malia Bickel, Ava Oquist, Lyla Bickel and
Wesley Oquist. Ray was raised in Rocky Ford with his two brothers & three sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents; Salvador & Cordelia Martinez.
Patriarch of his family, he was hard working & selfless. He adored his Yorkies, looking after his farm animals, coin collecting, traveling with his family & gardening with his wife. Always ready to spoil & play with his grandchildren, he was a silly & a loving Grandpo.
