A recent letter from Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center (dated Sept. 8, 2021) was included in a letter to Governor Polis from the Otero County Commissioners requesting a variance on the vaccination mandate for the region has been re-circulated on Social Media. 

The Letter, written by AVRMC Chief Executive Director Lynn Crowell, included a statement that AVRMC plans to apply for a waiver as mentioned in the Emergency Rule 6 CCR 1101-1, Chapter 2 Part 12.

"We anticipate further resignations and a struggle to provide critically needed basic healthcare services to those in the Southeastern portion of our state."
