Obituary

Shannon Lee Trujillo, 48, went to be with the Lord and reunited with his son on October 17, 2021 in Pueblo, CO. He was born on June 3, 1973 to Albert Trujillo and Marian Apodaca in Rocky Ford, CO.

Shannon was a dedicated husband, father & grandfather. He always put his family above all & always made sure they were provided for. He was an avid Raiders fan, who recently toured the new Raider Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Shannon met his wife, the LOVE of his life in 6th grade and in High School became best friends, and then became High School Sweethearts,
fell in LOVE and soon after married and began their family. Shannon was a man of many skills, he was always willing to lend a helping hand. Shannon's wife, three children and two grandsons were his world and he enjoyed spending every minute with them.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Trujillo of the La Junta home; children, Brendon (Kayla Sabala) Trujillo of Colorado Springs, CO, Kailee (Jesus Alvarado) Trujillo of La Junta, CO; grandchildren, Kristopher Trujillo & Giovanni Trujillo; parents, Marian (Alex) Palacio of La Junta, CO; mother-in-law, Maria Estrada of La Junta, CO; grandmother, Carmen Apodaca of Rocky Ford, CO; siblings, D.J. Palacio of La Junta, CO, Melissa (DeAngelo) Lee of Surprise AZ, Ryan Palacio of La Junta, CO; sister-in-laws, Dora (Larry) Lopez of La Junta, CO, Crystal Estrada of Denver CO; as well as numerous aunts uncles & cousins.

He was preceded in death by his son, Brennon Trujillo; father, Albert Trujillo; father-in-law, Mel Estrada; grandparents, Cleo & Maria Trujillo, Jose Apodaca & Maria Juana Vigil; uncles, Leroy Apodaca, Leroy Medina, John Trujillo, Tony Trujillo & Arnold Vigil; aunts, Mary Trujillo & Isabel Gonzalez; brother-in-law, Karlos Vasquez I; nieces, Chasity Archuleta & baby Tommie Archuleta.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021, at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Victor Raj officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
