Obituary

Frank Roy Pfeiff, Jr. on October 19, 2021, at the age of 95 years old, went on the journey he looked forward to for many years—going “Home” to be with Jesus. He was born north of Fowler at the family home on July 10, 1926, to Frank Sr. and Maude (Jackson) Pfeiff. “June” was the sixth in line of ten children. *Lester (*Daisy Conley) , *Robert (Phyllis Norton), *John (*Berniece Hoffman), twins Margaret  (*Dave Ragsdale)  and Marjorie (*Johnny Hiza) , twins *Melva (*John Henry Williams) and *Marvin “Bud” (*Joanne Hoffman), Freda (Jack Czerwinski) Spurlock and *Shirley (Phythian) Jackson.   These siblings provided many nieces and nephews for Uncle “June”.

The story is told of two people walking down the street and catching each other’s eye, the love of his life, Joyce Elaine Larrew, who he leaves behind. His heart never the same, they married on a beautiful Colorado day January 8, 1948, and from this union the branches on the family tree continue to grow. Frank and Joyce had seven children—Ronald (Janie Hamilton); Larry; *Lanny “Dean” (Kathy Jensen); Darel (*Penni Owens Yett); Sandra (George Robinson); Timothy (Penny Lance); Gary (Shelly Black) Pfeiff. To which he was blessed with 16 grandchildren:  Tammy (Dave Impson) and Brenda (Rick Duvall); Tate, Brian (Ale Zamudio), and *Lucas Pfeiff; *Brady, Casey, Jennifer (James Page) and Sean Pfeiff; Keri (Alex Wilson), Tonya (Jeff Rylant), Brendon (Celisse Chavez) Robinson; Heather (*Jay Sheridan) and Lance (Angela Schliinz Johnson) Pfeiff; Clinton (Melinda Lieberknecht) and Calvin (Jennifer Jackson) Pfeiff. From those he has 29 Great-grandchildren: Derek (Sarah Vastine), Brandon (Mary), and Nathan Impson;  Micheal (Meagan) and Matthew (Rose Ramos) Watkins; Jamie, Ty, Bailey, and Rigan (Maggie Colleen) Pfeiff; Amiah and Lucas Pfeiff; Madalyn, Kaylea, and Grayson Page; Bryce, Brady, and Parker Pfeiff; Peyton and Mason Wilson; Isabel Sheridan, Lana and Faith Johnson; Rilynn and Kylee Pfeiff; Ryan Saine, Breann (Kai Geringer), Kathleen and Jeremiah DeVore, and Preston Pfeiff. And in all those years—14 great-great grandchildren so far: Ariana, Adalynn, and Kinsley Impson; Belle Impson; Samuel and Olivia Impson; Maci Watkins; Aliyah Romas and Jolene Pfeiff; Levi and Jeb Gibson, Indiana and Marley Reeves; and Tybious Pfeiff.

Frank and Joyce raised cattle for a large part of their lives. He spoke of buying his first calf in Pueblo, Colorado, when he wasn’t very old.  Besides cattle he farmed and then went to work for Southern Colorado Power in 1960 and worked there until 1989 when he retired. He and Joyce experienced some special trips with friends including Hawaii, Alaska, and many other places. Frank’s favorite past times were keeping up on the news and weather and playing cards with his family and friends and later dominoes with special friends. He liked old time country and gospel music and watching Molly B and the Big Joe Polka show. When Frank was 90 years old, he rode a horse in the hills of Wyoming.   Frank Roy Pfeiff Jr. was blessed to live a long life and looked forward to still waters and green pastures and dwelling in the House of the LORD forever. We will see you on the other side…

No memorial service is scheduled at this time.
