La Junta Chamber of Commerce Treat Street 2021

Downtown La Junta was packed with trick or treaters Friday afternoon during the annual Treat Street event. The La Junta Chamber of Commerce and Southeast Colorado Small Business Development Center provided a business listing of members who participated and handed out candy. Many downtown La Junta businesses participated despite not registering to be listed and many families came from the surrounding communities for the event.

The chamber provided spaces at the Santa Fe Plaza for businesses who were not located downtown. The Lock Monkey, Arkansas Valley Hospice, La Junta Rotary, and several other businesses were able to join in on the fun of handing candy out to trick or treaters on an unseasonably warm afternoon.

SECO News, Rey Noel Photography and Total Health With Sherri handed out over 1,000 pieces of candy and seven cases of bottled water during the event.
