Georgia Marquez, our beautiful mother peacefully entered into rest at her daughter’s home in Pueblo, CO surrounded by her loving family on October 28, 2021. She was born on July 7, 1946 in Mora, NM to Alfredo and Elena Martinez. She was 75 years of age.

Georgia is survived by her children, (step son) Ralph (Monica) Marquez of Las Vegas, NM, Tony (Cassie) Martinez of Pueblo West CO, Carlos (Jennifer) Lujan of Las Vegas NM, Elena (Adrian) Marquez-Baros of Pueblo CO, Venisha (Tony) Marquez of Colorado Springs, CO & Estevan Marquez of Littleton, CO. Grandchildren Ralph Jr & Melissa Marquez from Albuquerque, NM, Crystal (Alex) Porterie of Albuquerque, NM, Joseph (Kynna) Martinez & Chantel Martinez from La Junta, CO, Destiny Martinez & Kianna Martinez from Pueblo West, CO & Saisha Ornelas of Rocky Ford, CO. Fabian & Deeandra Lujan of Las Vegas, NM, Christopher (Caitlin) Salazar & Giovanni (Aubrey) Gutierrez of Las Vegas, NM, Unique (Nathan) Gutierrez of Pueblo, CO, & Cherista (Natalie) Casillas of La Junta, CO. Christopher Jr & Avani Salazar of Las Vegas, NM, Elecianna & Nathan Jr Vasquez of Pueblo, CO. Elijah Vigil-Marquez of Colorado Springs, CO & Giavonna of Castle Rock, CO.

Georgia was preceded in death by her husband of many years Ralph Marquez, her parents Alfredo & Elena Martinez, Beatrice Martinez and Jane Sandoval (sisters), & Alfredo Martinez, brother & infant great grandson Noah Vigil-Marquez. Georgia had many nieces and nephews whom she loved very dearly. Georgia enjoyed gambling, cooking amazing food, giving people a hard time, laughter and having yard sales.

She and her husband Ralph were self-employed for many years of their marriage and she received a certification in culinary arts. Georgia was a strong and feisty woman who will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She had several amazing friends and an excellent caretaker, Danielle Apodoca & her children (Derrin, Dreama, Divina, Daniya, & Michael) whom she loved like her very own.

Services November 2, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford with Visitation at 9:00 A.M.
