Obituary
Isaias Ernal Perez, 85, passed away on October 31, 2021 at his La Junta home. He was born on July 6, 1936 to Arnulfo and Cirila (Rodriguez) Perez in La Junta. He married Mary Agnes Trujillo on March 17, 1961; she preceded him in death on May 3, 2002.
Ernal was a longtime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish. He attended La Junta public schools.
Mr. Perez served honorably in the United States Marine Corp Reserves. He then served honorably for two years in the United States Air Force.
Ernal is survived by his children, Patricia (Robert) Beals of Riverview, FL; Christina (Joe) Vasquez of Centennial, CO; Phyllis (Dana) Beals of Falcon, CO and Louie (Annette) Perez of La Junta; 13 grandchildren, Brianna and Brittney Beals, Alfredo & Isaac Magdaleno, Christopher Vasquez, Jennifer (Tito) Nava, David, Zachary & Chris (Whitney) Beals, Louis (Alicia) Perez, Crystal, Victoria & Inez Perez; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Jess, Phil & Leo and sisters, Lupe, Mildred & Connie.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. both services at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Victor Raj officiating. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in La Junta with military honors by the Rocky Ford Rifle Team, American Legion Post #8. Visitation will be Friday, November 12, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
