On Thursday December 9th at 8:38pm the La Junta Police Department responded to the Knights of Columbus Hall on a report that a male party took the money box and ran. Upon arrival officers found out that some of the patrons chased the male party and he dropped the cash box, which was recovered. The incident is under investigation.

If you have any information contact the La Junta Police Department at (719) 384-2525. You can give tips and report criminal activities at Ljpdcomments@lajuntacolorado.org

The La Junta Police Department would like to take this opportunity to remind our community members that before confronting or pursuing a criminal consider your personal safety first. Simply making note of details to help safely identify a suspect or having video surveillance can be the most help. Being a good witness can help solve the crime safely.
