Description: Multiple agencies responded to a two-vehicle accident in Swink just before 5 pm on Friday.

Dodge Truck VS Chevy Truck at Hwy 50 and Columbia Ave in Swink

According to a witness at the scene, a white Dodge pickup was traveling East bound on US Hwy 50 when it was struck by a white Chevrolet pickup traveling Northbound on Columbia Ave. in Swink.

The witness reported that the Dodge was hit with so much force that it spun the Dodge around, which came to a rest facing Westbound.

Multiple agencies responded including the Colorado State Patrol, Otero County Sherriff's Office, and La Junta EMS. Two ambulances were on scene.

Motorists are encouraged to use caution and be prepared for Winter travel, which includes using extra caution when visibility is poor and planning on extra travel time due to road conditions.
