Michael Merle Buchner 78 of Fowler died on Dec 7, 2021 at St Mary Corwin Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado.

Mike was born Sep 18, 1943 in Colorado Springs to Lonie and Rena Buchner. At the age of 5 his family moved to Fowler where he graduated from high school in 1961. After high school he received a scholarship to play basketball for Pratt Junior College in Pratt, KS where he met Connie Frisbie, his wife of 59 years. They moved back to Fowler where they raised their 3 boys. He and his folks ran the Gamble Store there until he went to work for Mountain Bell for 26 years until his retirement. He spent 25 years on the volunteer fire department in Fowler. He enjoyed fixing up houses and having rental property. His hobbies included supporting his kids and grandkids sporting activities, town team basketball, hunting, fishing, golfing, water skiing, and traveling.

He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was always ready to be a snowbird and head to Yuma for the winter.

Mike is survived by his wife of 59 years, Connie Buchner; Sons, Mike (Jinger) Buchner of Loveland, CO; Kevin (Brandy) Buchner of Fowler, CO; grandchildren, Brittney (Brandon) England of Durango, CO; Mitchell Buchner of Windsor, CO; Bethany (Chris) Cockrum of Mora, NM, Breanne Buchner of Rocky Ford, CO; Brittany (Chance) Chambers of Pueblo, CO; Jacob Buchner of Fowler, CO; Blake Buchner of Fowler, CO; 5 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

There will be a celebration of life at Cottonwood Links Golf Course in Fowler, CO on Sunday December 19, 2021 at 4:00pm.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Cottonwood Links Golf Course; 1 Fairway Dr.; Fowler, CO 81039.
