Obituary

Don Paul Buck was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on June 15th, 1943, and died in his home in Hasty Colorado on January 15, 2022. He is survived by his wife Danielle Simone, his sons Deacon Paul Buck, Jonathon Buck, sister Joann Cook, 7 grandchildren and 2 nieces. He is preceded in death by his father Otho Paul Buck, mother Josephine Buck and son Jeffrey Buck.

Don proudly served over 20 years in the United States Air Force as well as over 20 years with the Office of Personnel Management, retiring in 2004 as the Agent Cashier with the Denver Veterans Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. He lived most of his life in Southeast Colorado, working many years at the Fort Lyon V. A. Medical Center, Fort Lyon, Colorado.

Don loved to hunt and fish and read veraciously throughout his life. He enjoyed creating woodworking projects.

He traveled extensively in the service including in Germany, Japan, Thailand, Arizona, Wichita, Kansas and Denver, Colorado.

His wife states that he was the kindest, gentlest, and most forgiving and Loving person she will ever be privileged to know in her lifetime. He is greatly missed as a devoted brother, Loving father, caring friend as well as a Loving, attentive husband of over 30 years.

As per Don’s request cremation has taken place and no services at this time.
