Obituary

Billy Ray Boggs, 72, of La Junta, passed away March 19, 2022, at his La Junta home. He was born on July 19, 1949, in Ardmore, OK to William Lloyd & Lois (Earhart) Boggs. He married Michaele Marlin on December 4, 1971.

Bill attended school in Ardmore, OK graduating from Ardmore High School. He then enlisted into the United State Air Force and served in Vietnam. Following his Air Force time, he went to work as a radar operator for Lockheed Martin. He farmed in the Cheraw area for 50 years and owned and operated Valley Frames and Trophies for 13 years.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Michaele; daughter Teresa (Lynnie) Clift; son Adam Boggs; grandchildren, Christopher & Brandon Clift and Taylor & Hunter Boggs, Brooklyn & Austin Orth; his best friend whom he loved like a brother, Winn Roring; brother, David Boggs.

Bill loved his job as a radar operator and running his framing business. He enjoyed art, music, gardening, and especially loved spending time with his family.

A memorial graveside service will be Friday, March 25, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery with Reverend Kurt England of the Valley Community Church officiating.
