Obituary

Tino Anthony Romero Sr., 85, died January 1, 2022.  Services will be held 10:30 am Saturday, March 26, 2022 at American Legion Post No. 8 Hall, 966 Walnut in Rocky Ford.

Tino was born in Trinchera and raised in Trinidad Colorado.  He grew up working on various horse and cattle ranches.  Tino enlisted in the US Marine Corps to serve his country.  After his service, he moved to Texas where he settled, got married and had four sons.

Tino wore many hats over the course of his life:  Marines, law enforcement, and construction, but his favorite was his cowboy hat. 

Tino enjoyed many hobbies, including motorcycles, outdoors, fishing, playing cards and going to casinos.  He most loved his horses and spending time with family and friends at the American Legion.  He served many years in American Legion Post No. 8.

Tino is survived by son Curtis, daughter-in-law Dayre and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  

Donations may be made to the Tino A Romero memorial fund at any of the First National Bank locations.
