SCCA Rocky Mountain Time Trials Opens Season at La Junta Raceway

The La Junta Raceway held a weekend of racing action at the end of April. The weekend of events included a driver’s school held on Friday, a cruise at the local Sonic and racing at La Junta Raceway Saturday and Sunday.

The Sports Car Club of America Rocky Mountain Time Trials started their 2022 season with a couple days of competition in La Junta. The action at the track included teaching a group of first-time racers the basics. With two classes of competition, there were 14 drivers in the time trials division and seven in the road race division.

Even though racers faced windy conditions they had a successful weekend racing in La Junta.
