OLD BUSINESS

The Debug & Defrost was well attended; right at 16 vehicles made the tour. The surprise tour started out at La Junta Safeway parking lot leaving at 9:00a.m. Taking 5th street by Potters Field underpass then catching Hwy 10 out to Hawley store then going North on Hwy 71 ending at the Rocky Ford Museum.

Once at the museum the curator had a situation beyond his control that had to be addressed early that Saturday morning and he did not have a phone number available to reach a club member at the time. President Holt read an apology letter from the curator. That didn’t stop our SUPER Tour Guides Jimmy Martinez and Chuck Donkle as they had a backup plan in mind! The club then took the back way out of Rocky Ford on Hwy 266 and was graciously offered a potty break and a “little home tour” at Brent & Mary Murdock’s residence. THANK YOU MURDOCK’s!!

From their beautiful home the cars kept rolling on and headed South on Hwy 109 connecting and heading East on Old Trail Road to Hwy 194 passed Bent’s Old fort to see where the recent fire burned on into Las Animas. What a Tour! And we weren’t done yet!

Chuck Donkle opened up his Donkle Museum/garage and Karen Donkle opened up her Bag Lady Boutique! Half of the group went to Dairy Queen while the others ventured through the car museum and boutique and vice versa.

Debug & Defrost 2022 pins were handed out. THANK YOU goes out to both Chuck Donkle and Jimmy Martinez for a GR8 Debug & Defrost Tour!! The tour ended around 1:30p.m.
