Conley E. Banta

Obituary

Conley E. Banta, 82, of Las Animas, CO, formerly of La Junta passed away on June 28, 2021 at the Bent County Healthcare Center. He was born on January 26, 1939 to Randal & Alta B. (Downey) Banta in Las Animas.

He lived South of Rocky Ford for many years, had a High School education, and served in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Randal and Alta Banta of Hasty, CO; brother, Ralph Banta of Ft. Morgan, CO; and sister, Carrol Jean Taylor of Lamar, CO.

He is survived by his sisters, Patty Ballard of Windsor, CO, and Diane Williams of Lamar; good friends, Brenda & Dave Daniher of Higbee, CO; many nieces and nephews also survive.

Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home and Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
