KNITTING WORKSHOP AT MUSEUM

June 26, 2022

By Kathleen Tomlin

Joan Kinsley will host a Knitting Workshop Wednesday, June 29th from 1pm to 4pm at the Museum Grand Hall.

This is the first of three workshops to be offered during the summer from the Rawlings, “Needlework History Exhibit,” ending Labor Day.  July 27th Workshop will be crocheting; and August 31st will be embroidery.  Knitting participants will learn how to cast on; how to knit several rows; how to bind off; and make a sampler to learn how to gauge.

Children must be accompanied by adults.  First 12 participants will receive knitting needles and yarn.  Joan will provide many resources about knitting and what the internet does NOT teach you.  Join us in this unique event and check out the Needlework History Exhibit.  For questions, call the Museum at 719-456-6066.
