Winter Weather Conditions Across Southeast Colorado

Sunday's cold front brought frozen rain and sleet that turned to snow late in the evening. Snowfall continued Monday throughout the day. Record Setting Lows Continue The Winter Weather Trend.

Winter Weather Low Temp Warning seconews.org The National Weather Service Weather Forecast Office in Pueblo Warns of Record Setting Low Temperatures Monday Night Across Southeast Colorado. 

Most area schools cancelled classes and many businesses and organizations closed due to weather conditions on Monday. The roads in the area became very dangerous due to icy rainfall and continued snowfall. Monday night record lows are expected across Southeast Colorado, which will in turn keep road conditions on ice.

Here are some snowfall totals from the area:

Lamar - 1.5 - 2 Inches 

La Junta - 3.5 - 6 Inches

Swink - 4 Inches 

Fowler - 5.8 Inches
