Madrigal Singers Give Their Christmas Dinner Show a 2nd Renaissance

The Madrigal Singers have emerged from seasons shuttered by the pandemic just in time for their epic Christmas Dinner Show. In previous years the event was held at Encore, the Rocky Ford entertainment venue catered by Christine’s fine dining. This year the Madrigal Singers brought Christine’s to the Gobin Building in Rocky Ford.

The menu started off with fresh garden salad followed by succulent prime rib or festive chicken breast and finished with Christine’s peach cobler or chocolate cheesecake that looked this good...

The venue was divided into a smaller space, which helped provide complimenting acoustics for the Singers. The cheesecake was only surpassed in sweetness by the Madrigal Singers' harmonies echoed in this new, large venue.

As usual, this talented group is directed by Dean Rees who was masterful on keyboard during the performance.

The Madrigal Singers enhanced their Christmas Dinner with ornate Renaissance Era costumes and colorful skits.

The only thing disappointing about this show was that they only performed for one evening. If you were unfortunate enough to miss it, at least you can watch our videos from the show.
