Minutes for February 7, 2023
We had about 30 attendees for the combination meeting - Valentine dinner at Boss Hoggs on February 7th. The ladies with some help from the fellas set up decorations with goodies cups on all the place settings. Rethabel gave the blessing over the meal with President Greg Holt opening the meeting at 6:45 p.m. Jim Huff made a motion to accept the January 2023 minutes with a minor correction. Richard Thomas seconded the motion to accept the minutes.
It was voted on and approved.
Old Business
Leonard Walgren made reservation with La Junta Parks and Rec for the use of the 14th Street gazebo for the June 6th Hamburger Fry and the July 11th Ice Cream Social and use of all 3 gazebos for the September 16th Car show. Thank you Leonard for getting this done. Jimmie Martinez mentioned that the Debug Tour will be on April 22nd this year.
New Business
The tentative meetings and refreshments list for 2023 was decided upon at the January 3rd and February 7 and is as follows:
January 3rd – Meeting – Greg Holt
February 7 – Meeting –Valentines Dinner
March 7 – Meeting and Ladies night – Fannie Thomas
April 4 – Meeting - James Huff
April 22 – Debug Tour – Orchestrators Jimmie M. and Chuck D.
May 2 – Meeting - Wayne Potter
June 6 – Hamburger Fry – Bring salads, dessert or chips – Fry man Richard Wittman contributing.
June 24 – Studebaker Car Show in La Junta – get in touch with Chuck about a place for Brand “X” car show area.
July 11 – Ice Cream Social – Bring ice cream, cake, cookies or toppings
August 1 – Meeting – Leonard and Judy Walgren
September 5 – Meeting – Carol Allen
September 9 – Early Settlers Day Parade
September 16 – Annual Club La Junta Car Show
October 3 – Meeting - Gary Caldwell
? October or September ? Tarantula Day
November 7 – Meeting – Missy and Doug Ricken
December 5 – Christmas Dinner

Everyone was reminded that the March 7th meeting will feature the Ladies with their collections of crafts, mementos, and hobby items. We hope you enjoy telling about you creations and keepsakes.
We made an effort to get the roster updated. If you read this or know of someone who has a change of address and need to update your addresses and phone numbers, please call Greg at 719-384-8938. It was also mentioned that when messaging to you it would help us if you would include your name as part of your messaged phone number. We concluded the meeting at 8:00 p.m.
Time for some vittles and Valentine games. I am sorry to say Greg’s $39.00 camera somehow “gave up the ghost” and so pictures are not retrievable.
