La Junta Senior Golf League - Results for June 20, 2023

The La Junta Senior Golf League met June 20 for nine holes of golf.  There were 46 golfers composing ten teams to play a modified scramble format.  There were six teams of 5 players and four teams of 4 players. There was a challenge chip on hole #8 which no one was able to complete. But the challenge putt on hole #2 had six golfers who were able to complete that putt: Sudi Stokes, Phillip Bufford, Alex Proskey, Clark Claycomb, Stan Lindsay, and Jay Bollacker.

The group will meet next Tuesday, June 27, for nine holes of golf with each player allowed to use only three clubs for the entire round, including a putter. Sign up is 9:15am to 9:30am. Teams are picked at 9:45am and play will begin at approximately 10:00 am. Please call 719-469-0691 by 9:30 if you will be late for signing up, but will be at the course in time for play at 10:00 am.  It was announced that there will be no Senior Golf League on July 4.
