Random Black Hole To My Left - Available Online

What started out as a 160 page autobiography became a journey beneath the text, to the subtext, the subconscious. Through surreal imagery, images, experimental and concrete forms, the macabre and morose become power sources. The biography bleeds through, showing the speaker's life as symbol and artifact--an experience of awe and terror wrapped in the same experience--moving the pulp from meaninglessness to namelessness. Finally arriving at the fact that endlessness is more powerful than nothingness. The oscillating of absurdity and agony hint to a truth beyond and underscoring the Modernist's iconoclastic view, especially when applied to the contemporary myth of material reductionism. To clear this sophistic fog we need the truth...a reevaluation of what it means to live.

Synopsis: Random Black Hole to my Left is an autobiographical stream of consciousness that explores the culture, in images and words though the eyes of a malcontent, who dips into the misanthropic at turns.

Some periods in history gave us poets who put the sorrows and spirit of the times--its ferocity--into words. During the Civil War we had Walt Whitman. Some of the Beats, Ginsburg for example, tried to give us the words that encapsulated the Vietnam War. These voices help us to collectively morn, to heal.

This author sees an America that keeps shooting itself--blowing itself up...an American Jihad at work beneath Hollywood veils--and describes the result: a zombie Geist, a culture that self-destructs and recreates itself...its exhaust is simulacra as reality recedes farther away.
