Obituary

Linda Josephine Davis was born on Jan. 25, 1952 in La Junta to Herbert & Flora (Dickson) Trumble, the third of seven children. She lived in La Junta all her life. She worked as a waitress and cook in several places in La Junta, including the Hickory House, Copper Kitchen, Christina’s, the Kit Carson Hotel and Evergreen Gardens Assisted Living. She always enjoyed her time in the food service industry.

Linda Jo married Daniel R. Davis in La Junta on December 23, 1997. She passed away peacefully at Colorado Springs Memorial Hospital from COVID-19 on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020. She was 68 years old.

She is survived by her husband, Dan of the La Junta home; stepsons, Steven and Shawn Cashoili of Fremont, NE; stepdaughter, Sascha Flores of Omaha, NE; sister-in-law, Sharon Michelle Davis of Galveston, TX; brothers and sisters, Jeannie (Don) Rizzuto of La Junta, Sharon Kindred of Kansas City, MO, Ron (Amy) Trumble of Bartlesville, OK, Luann (Mike) Baird of Grand Lake, CO, Tom (Vickie) Trumble of La Junta, Michelle (Kathy) Trumble of League City, TX; numerous nieces & nephews and great-nieces & great-nephews, who lovingly called her Aunt Linda; her beloved cat, Harry; and many, many more friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and several aunts & uncles.

A celebration of her life will be held later in the summer of 2021.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Arkansas Valley Hospice association, direct or through the funeral home.
