Eleanor M. Peteque

Eleanor M. Peteque, 77, went to be with the Lord on December 3rd, 2020 at her La Junta home surrounded by family. Mrs. Peteque was born on August 20th, 1943 to Estavan and Juanita (Rocha) Lucero in La Junta. On March 8th, 1962, she married Louis Peteque in La Junta.

Mrs. Peteque was a devoted Christian and a member of The Upper-Room Fellowship church. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also liked to watch Gunsmoke and Jimmy Swaggart.

She is survived by her children, Vicky Flores, Liz (Victor) Gomez, Terri Peteque (Elias Altamirano), Katie (Junior) Morales, and Robert (Christa) Peteque. In addition she is also survived by her brother, Ralph Lucero; sisters, Martha Lucero Rodriguez and Jenny Hernandez; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 5 great, great-grandchildren, and other family members.

Mrs. Peteque was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Peteque, son, Edward “Lee” Peteque, grandson, Victor Medina, brothers, Joe Lucero, Richard “Ross” Lucero, Theodoro “Ted” Lucero, and parents, Estavan & Juanita Lucero.

At this time, services will be held at a later date.
