Father's Day Festival presented by Trinity Lutheran Church

On Father’s Day, June 16, Trinity Lutheran Church will present a Father’s Day Festival, featuring Luke Yates. Originally from Spokane, Washington, Luke now resides in Nashville with his wife and four children. He is an incredibly talented and accomplished musician, both instrumentally and vocally. Luke has performed in thousands of concerts, nation-wide, for almost two decades, with artists such as Keith Anderson, Blackwood Legacy, and New Legacy Project. Now he is embarking on a solo music career, while still balancing a fruitful family life.

The festivities begin 9:15am at Trinity Lutheran Church (1601 Raton Avenue, La Junta, 719-384-6555), with a talk by Luke about “Music Ministry and Fatherhood.” Then, in the 10:30am worship service, with the theme, “Our F.A.T.H.E.R.’S. Blessings,” he will sing a couple songs. A potluck lunch follows.

Continuing to honor our Dads/Fathers, Luke will give a free Country-Gospel Concert at 2:00pm at the Grand Theatre (405 S. Main Street, Rocky Ford). And, to help say, “Hey, Dad, you are special,” door prizes will be drawn for the Father’s attending. The concession stand will also be open. A thank you freewill offering will be taken for Luke Yates as well. Please join us in welcoming Luke to the Arkansas Valley as we celebrate a Happy Father’s Day!
