La Junta Senior Golf League Results July 23, 2024

The Senior Golf League met today at the La Junta Golf course for nine holes of scramble golf. The 40 golfers were split into eight teams of 5 golfers. We had special challenge putts on holes #3, #5, and #8. Fifteen golfers made one of the challenge putts: Tom Aldea, Lynn Bigham, CaSandra Thomas, Brad Swartz, Gary Armitage, Mackie O’Neal, Fred Boettcher, Douglas Golding, Joy Grasmick, Eric Jakus, Carl Anderson, Alex Prosky, Shelly Grantham, Rob Tryon, and Alan Root. Three golfers made two of the challenge putts: Dennis Golding, Mark Johnston, and John Lockhart. A challenge chip was on hole #2 however, no one was able to do that.

Next Tuesday, July 30, we will meet for another nine holes of golf. We will play a scramble game using only two tee boxes per hole. Sign up is at 8:15 to 8:30 a.m. Teams are picked at 8:45 a.m. and play will begin at 9:00 a.m.   No one will be added to the teams after 8:45, when teams are picked; if there is a chance of being late for sign up, give Cathy a call or text at 719-469-0691 to be put on the list.
