La Junta Senior Golf League Results July 30, 2024

In another hot round of golf, forty participants of the La Junta Senior Golf League came out to the La Junta Golf Course to play on Tuesday. One new player, Rocky Mueller, was welcomed. We broke up into 8 teams of five players and half of the players came away as winners! We played a game using dice with two different tee boxes for each hole. If an even number was rolled, the team played from the orange tee box. If an odd number was rolled, the team used the white tee box. The teams played a scramble format from there.

There was a challenge chip on hole #2 from behind the trees that no one was able to get. The challenge putt on hole #8 was accomplished by Gary Armitage, Pat Engebrecht, and Albert Davis.

Next week, August 6, we will play 9 holes of scramble golf with some special putts. Sign up is from 8:15 to 8:30 a.m. Teams are picked at 8:45 a.m. and play will begin at 9:00 a.m.   No one will be added to the teams after 8:45, when teams are picked, so if there is a chance of being late for sign up, give Cathy a call or text at 719-469-0691 so you can be put on the list.
