Maria Elena Torres “Helen” entered into rest, December 9, 2020 at the Pioneer Healthcare Center in Rocky Ford, Colorado.

She was born to Adelina and Alfredo Torres June 30, 1936 in Chacon, New Mexico. She was 84 years of age. Helen is survived by her twin sister, Rose Velasquez, nieces, and nephews, Celestino (Bernadine) Martinez, Ernestine Martinez, Patricia Cupp, David Martinez, Thomas (Tina Hanson) Martinez, great-nephews, and nieces, Trenton (Kendall) Martinez, Michael (Lisa Tucson) Patino, Michelle (Sean Sue) Falls, Brianna (Angelo) Atencio, Vanessa (Javier) Castonon. Jayme Lobato and Ricky (Sara) Lobato Helen was a simple woman and was happy with just her necessities. She loved riding the city bus. She traveled to many countries but, her was favorite city Albuquerque. She especially loved her family and they will all miss her. As per the family’s request, there will be no services at this time. A private family service will be held in the area where she grew up in New Mexico. Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of the Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
