LJPD Catch Burglary Suspect at Thyme Square Building 2/7/22

On February 7, 2022, at about 2:24am Officers with the La Junta Police Department responded to the Thyme Square building at 302 Colorado Ave in La Junta, CO for a reported burglary.

When officers arrived, they located the suspect, identified as 36-year-old Chezaray Chavez.

Several businesses inside the building had also been broken into. Chavez was taken into custody and charged with 2nd Degree Burglary, class 4 felony Theft, criminal mischief, and obstructing a peace officer.
