LJFD VS Multiple Structure Fires 3/23/22

At approx 1232 am this morning we’re pages out to a reported structure fire in the 26000 blk of HWY 50. While enroute heavy fire could be seen from a far distance.

Upon arrival of Chief Davidson an out building was fully engulfed threatening 2 fuel tanks. Mutual aid from Rocky Ford Fire was requested for an additional tender for water supply.

Quick aggressive fire attack was focused on cooling the fuel tanks.

At 1250 am a second structure fire was reported in the 800 blk of Grace. Resources were divided between the two fires. Mutual Aid was requested also from Manzanola Fire for water supply also.

Salvage and overhaul operations were performed and both fires were cleared and units were back in service.
