CSP Responds to Vehicle VS Amtrak Passenger Train

The Colorado State Patrol reported that they received a vehicle versus passenger train callout at 7:57 am on Monday, March 28, 2022 at US Hwy 50 and Bent County Road 7 1/2.

The Amtrak train is stopped due to damage to the tracks, according to the Colorado State Patrol. US Hwy 50 remains open, but County Rd 7 1/2 is closed due to blockage of the train tracks.

No Injuries were reported at the scene of the accident. 

The incident is under investigation by the Colorado State Patrol.
