Woodruff Memorial Library July 2022 Calendar

The WML staff has gone to great depths to create a fun atmosphere for kids and adults this summer! The 2022 Summer Reading Program “Oceans of Possibilities” begins next week! Participants (all ages) may start registering on June 1 at https://wml.readsquared.com/. Be sure to come to the library to see all the amazing decorations – some have been made to scale. Our great pacific octopus has an arm span of 16 feet!

SUMMER READING PROGRAM - ALL EVENTS HELD ON WML PATIO

JUNE 1 – JULY 23

The Summer Reading Program (SRP) is for all ages.

It promotes literacy, encourages reading, & raises awareness & use of library resources. This summer kids & adults will keep track of books or reading time using the online platform, READsquared. Participants will work towards earning points to gain digital badges. Youth will also earn prizes.

- Points can be earned for attending events by entering a “secret code”.

- Digital games will also be awarded at each point level.

We are so thankful to have a wonderful lineup this summer and especially to highlight people in our beautiful Arkansas Valley -  City of La Junta Wastewater and RO Plants, Clean Valley Recycling, Innovative Water Technologies, The Fox Theatre, and Lisa Korbitz. We have some of our favorite friends returning – Beth Epley and Kyle Groves! We will even have a virtual visit with the Downtown Aquarium (Denver location)!
