Arkansas Valley Resource Center Celebrates 35th Anniversary

The Arkansas Valley Resource Center (AVRC) is celebrating our 35th anniversary! In 1987, the agency was founded as the Arkansas Valley Women’s Resource Center, in response to a domestic violence-related murder/suicide, and became the Arkansas Valley Resource Center in 1996, opening our services to all victims and survivors of violent crime in the counties of Bent, Crowley, and Otero.

As a community based non-profit organization, support from our community is vital for our mission, which is to serve as a crisis intervention agency which provides shelter, counseling and support for victims of domestic violence, their children and all other crime victims.

Our purpose is to strengthen families, educate the community, provide resources and training needed to save lives and protect victims of domestic violence, their children and all other crime victims. Support from our community can include volunteering with our agency, donating to the program, and sharing our social media website posts.

Every little bit helps! Please join AVRC staff in marking this milestone, as we commit to our continuing goal of ending violence within our communities.

If you or someone you know is a victim of violent crime, AVRC staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You are not alone. Please don’t hesitate to reach out for support at (719) 384-7764. arkansasvalleyresourcecenter.org
