Kiowa County Sheriff Warns of Sex Offender in Area

The Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to CR 49 this morning for a man impeding traffic and running towards vehicles. He is asking for fuel and is wearing only athletic shorts and a scar on the left side of his face. The individual was uncooperative when deputies arrived. Upon further investigation after deputies ended contact, we found that the individual is an aggravated registered sex offender out of Kansas and considered dangerous. 

!!!He is not wanted, however is considered to be a danger to others and himself!!! 

Please stay alert and if you see a red Toyota Yaris with Kansas plates, do not pull over for them and notify authorities immediately or call 911. The photo of the car is not the suspects vehicle, but similar.
