LJPD Responds to DA Office Report of Blood Trails

Thursday morning the 16th Judicial District Attorney's office reported to the La Junta Police Department that upon arrival to their offices they discovered a large blood trail on the sidewalk. 

LJPD responded to 323 Santa Fe Avenue, According to Chief Todd Quick, the La Junta Police obtained video footage of the incident from a local business owner. 

During review of the security footage it was discovered that an unidentified female caused a self-inflicted wound to her arm, causing the large blood trail.

LJPD Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the unidentified woman. 

The LJPD reached out to the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center. There were not any individuals checked in to AVRMC matching the unknown female's description.

According to Chief Quick, there is no threat to the public, but they are concerned about the individual's safety.
