Otero County 4H Shoot 2022

Members of the Fort Bent 4H club and the rest of the Otero County 4H Shooting Sports members competed at the Otero County 4H shooting contest on July 22-23, 2022.

The event took place at the La Junta Rifle Range.  Ages 9-13 compete in junior and 14-18 in the senior division. Members shot in .22 rifle, pistol, archery, muzzleloading, air events and shotgun.

The top 6 placers from each discipline (top 5 in shotgun) get the chance to shoot at the Colorado State 4H competition. State shooting events are held in Pueblo West, Colorado City and Colorado Springs in August and September.

The Otero County Shooting coaches are Bri Huff, Darwin Huff, Brady Entenman, Doug Entenman, Anthony Orchard, Todd Wetzel and Steven Balicki.
