CSP Investigating Fatal Motorhome Crash on I-25 South of Pueblo

The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle crash that resulted in two fatalities. The crash occurred on Interstate-25 Southbound approximately 7 miles south of Pueblo.

A 2006 Ford Motorhome traveling southbound on Interstate 25 traveled off of the east edge, then the west edge of the interstate, colliding with a fence and then a power pole. The motorhome overturned approximately ½ time and came to rest on its roof. A tire blowout is suspected as a contributing factor in the events leading up to the crash.

Both the 64-year-old female driver and the 75-year-old male passenger died as a result of the crash. The crash is still being investigated and next of kin has not yet been notified.

The crash resulted in southbound traffic on I-25 south of Pueblo being temporarily diverted as the roadway was shut down for a brief period of time.
