Obituary
Helen Marie Aragon, passed away on August 30, 2022, at the Bent County HealthCare Center in Las Animas. She was born on October 3, 1941, in Fowler to Daniel & Adelina (Montoya) Aragon.
She worked for the Migrant Council in the Manzanola and Rocky Ford area. She also taught G.E.D. classes in Rocky Ford. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her kids and grandchildren. She also enjoyed her scratch tickets and trips to Cripple Creek and watching her Dallas Cowboy’s play.
She is survived by her husband, Louie of the La Junta home; children, Frankie (Sherry) Gallegos of Rocky Ford; Ronnie (Rosie) Gallegos of Liberal, KS; Jerry (Michelle) Gallegos of Arvada; Tomas (Stella) Gallegos of Colorado Springs; 16 grandchildren and 41 great, grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Harold and Eloy Aragon; grandchildren, Jerry Gallegos, Jr., James Baca and Kenneth Allen.
Memorial Mass will be Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Joseph Matitu officiating.
